Port Elizabeth & the Game Drive
We finally made it round the tip of Africa and the Cape of Good Hope into the Indian Ocean; apparently sea life will be more plentiful in these waters but we’ve not seen anything further yet. The sea is definitely bluer though! 🙂
Anywhere the begins it’s town name with a Gqe… needs to better understand the alphabet. Luckily, it was called Port Elizabeth before it was renamed so I think we’ll stick with that!

Game drive today … collected from the ship at 9am, a 30 minute drive to the private reserve and then a couple of hours round the estate. Amazing, the giraffe were so close and worth it on their own. Gutted not to see zebra, but we got rhino, giraffe, warthog, springbok, buffalo, wildebeest and ostriches, including some baby ones. Feast your eyes …!

Buffalo … old joke – what’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison? You can’t wash your hands in a buffalo 🙂 🙂
