Curacao
We were completely open-minded about Curacao, we had no pre-conceived ideas and at the last minute had decided to do a “highlights & lagoon” sightseeing trip. We weren’t disappointed.
The island is split into distinctive areas because of the geography, the north of the island is all rocky coastline, spectacular blow holes and crashing Atlantic seas.

The south of the island was where the beautiful beaches were. The “lagoon” we were promised a swim in was just what you imagine the Caribbean to be … white sand, twigs of coral all over, see-thru water … oh, and iguanas!

There were nutters trying to kill themselves by jumping off the cliff!

Not sure if you can see the name of the bar here, it’s called “It’s 5 o’clock Somewhere” so we decided to have a cocktail the colour of the lagoon we’d just swum in.

With a cheeky little bird for company!
