Mauritius
A first look at Mauritius pulling in this morning, and a one after dawn.

Well, our narrow minds have been expanded again … Mauritius is a lot more developed and modern than we expected. I wonder if this is because of the desolate ports like Dakar in Senegal and Namibia that we’ve been to have set our expectations? We’ll blame P&O!
The future …
We had a wander around the marina/waterfront area … I’d say ‘pleasant wander’ but it was 31 degrees which isn’t pleasant unless you’re laid by a pool. However, lunch at Ocean Basket was everything it promised! King prawns and chips, it’s the way forward! I would loved to have added more photographs but this blog site is somewhat obstructive!!

Weather forecast …

Back to the ship for about 2pm and straight in the pool to cool down … except the sun has done too good a job of warming the cold water of the other day; I’ve had cooler baths! Cold beer always helps though 🥵

Can’t believe we’ve been on this ship almost 5 weeks now. You kinda get into a swing and rhythm with it and life is laid back 🤷♀️
Refuelling
We took on another load of fuel today in preparation for the 7-days-at-sea to Fremantle in Australia.

Now for the 7 day slog … 🙁
PS It never did rain!
